7133上现在有4颗硬盘,我要在其上加4颗硬盘,增加容量.\r\n     那我是不是一定要先备份数据,加大之后再恢复数据?

做任何重要操作前，最好是BACKUP一下数据。\r\n\r\n　　　做的方式有多种，要看你的实际需求。

楼主的图标不是Tivoli software嘛！ 用TSM备份先。\r\n其实单从加四块硬盘来说备不备份真的要看你的具体需求了。

create a raid 5 with additional 4 disks, after that, there is a hdisk? created, attach the new hdisk? to the existing VG , which VG you want to extend ( BUT , it will be wasted a disk in the new raid). \r\n\r\nIt is more safe than backup , destroy the raid , and then create a new raid, restore, that will be wasted you more .... more time.\r\n\r\nBefore you want to destroy the RAID, pls mind the following :\r\n\r\n\r\n Are you believe your backup ? \r\n\r\nCan you afford the long time down time ?
