add route in cluster environment

Hello,\r\n\r\ni have a question about adding a route on one node in a 2 node-cluster environment. \r\n1. Can I just add a new route, not changing anything else, using smitty route? \r\n2. This node is using en0, en1, en2. Can I add this new route using any of them, such as en0?\r\n3. Will it be any problem because I only add this new route to one node, but not both nodes?\r\n4. hacmp won\'t complain anything right?\r\n5. is it smitty route the only thing i need to do? Do i need to do anything else? \r\n\r\nI don\'t know much about hacmp. sorry if the qestion is too silly for most of you here. Thanks a lot!!!!! the route only be added on the active node with the service ip in hacmp script，when it takeover，the route will be deleted。

\r\n\r\nThanks a lot for your input, but I still have some questions. Why adding an extra route will change the hacmp script? Do you mean adding a new route will change the hacmp configuration? I am not familiar with hacmp, but it doesn\'t sound... normal to me. Are you sure??\r\n\r\nThe only thing I am not sure is where the program will be running in that node. Maybe in a regular FS, maybe GPFS. Therefore, I am planning to add this new route on both nodes in my 2-node environment. Just to play safe. \r\n\r\nWhat do you think? Anyone know? Thanks!!

why not ask the network engineer to add the route on the network switches for you? then u do not worry about it on the host.

\r\n\r\nwhat network switches are you talking about? buy a new network adapter? i don\'t understand what you meant.\r\n\r\nanyway, i cann\'t ask network eng to do it because network team forwarded this job to me. I agree this should be a system adm. job to make this change in the server.
