yum 安装php-gd报错

系统是centos 5.6 yum 源centos官方 163 epel。 环境为 apache+php
   信息如下：
yum install php-gd

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
                        package-cleanup --dupes
                        rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

看提示为  Missing Dependency: php-common = 5.1.6-39.el5_8 for package: php-gd  丢失的依赖
        yum clean all 后还是不行
                          解决不了。 请大家帮帮

纯官方的，epel是什么来头？？

    yum install php-gd 的版本和现有的php 版本有差异。 最后卸载之前的包，重装的。也算是解决了，但方法太烂。
