IBM 9119-595 FSP Replacement
The "heart" of a large Unix frame from IBM - FSP (Flexible Service Processor). This is the component (computer, actually) that runs the VMM and communicate with HMCs about the health of the frame. All frames of P5 and P6 class has 2 of them (active/passive configuration). Too bad that it takes an outage to replace a failed FSP.
IBM promised that in future machines/frames, this "SPOF" (Single Point Of Failure) will be removed and a hot-swap type configuration for the FSP will be available.
