真的搞不懂了， 求助各位高手

各位，我想在一些客户机器上运行一系列管理命令。 客户机器名列在一个文件clients里。
clients内容是这样的
host1
host2
host3
...
然后我的脚本是这样
#!/bin/bash
while read line
do
   echo "execute command ls on $line."
   ssh root@$line 'ls'
done < clients

可是运行结果是
execute command ls on host1
文件名，blabla

然后就停止， 不在host2上继续执行命令了！ 也就是退出while read循环了！

如果我把ssh root@$line 'ls'这条注释掉，不要它在远程机器上执行命令了， 这样它就会正常的把文件的所有行都过一遍：
execute command ls on host1
execute command ls on host2
execute command ls on host3
.。。

这到底是怎么回事？

呵呵， 原来ssh 后面加上-n 就好了，  可到底是为什么呢？

-n      Redirects stdin from /dev/null (actually, prevents reading from
             stdin).  This must be used when ssh is run in the background.  A
             common trick is to use this to run X11 programs on a remote
             machine.  For example, ssh -n shadows.cs.hut.fi emacs & will
             start an emacs on shadows.cs.hut.fi, and the X11 connection will
             be automatically forwarded over an encrypted channel.  The ssh
             program will be put in the background.  (This does not work if
             ssh needs to ask for a password or passphrase; see also the -f
             option.)
