Job title: Linux Systems Administrator
Duties and responsibilities include:
1. Linux systems and services administration with an emphasis on supporting production Web and database servers
2. Scripting, task automation, and systems management infrastructure development and deployment
3. Assist development teams in deploying and debugging server-side software
4. Low-level systems and network debugging
5. Document technical procedures and policies
6. Part of the 24x7 \"on call\" team

Requirements:
1. 5+ years of Linux administration experience in a high-volume, critical production environment with an emphasis on supporting production Web and database servers
2. Experience with programming and/or scripting, task automation, and security \"best practices\" for server installation and administration
3. Strong experience administrating Apache (HTTP), PHP and MySQL in a production environment mandatory (LAMP)
4. Knowledge of Perl, PHP, Python, bash, etc., with experience building database driven applications
5. Experience in low-level systems and network debugging (strace, sar, netstat, tcpdump)
6. Experience with Puppet and Subversion is a plus
7. Good interpersonal and communication skills, team player
8. Ability communicate in English and French essential
9. Strong organizational and project management skills as well as good analysis methodology
10. Ability to work under stress and in a 24x7x365 production environment is essential
