I&V Engineer
General Purpose
Software engineer participating in the testing of telecommunication core networks
Main Responsibility Area
Overall responsibility of specified entities (e.g. features). Plans, designs and executes items in own area. Contributes to specification reviews. Works according to given tasks. Participates in work amounts estimation in own area. Consults, supports and guides own team s external interfaces. Is responded for sharing knowledge in one’s expertise area. Gives input to process development. Performs problem isolation and resolution. Applies knowledge and experience to determine root cause.
Position Description
- Responsible for core networks gateway integration and verification, including test case design, test execution, troubleshooting together with designers and verifying of given corrections, test environments setup and maintenance.
- Follows Nokia development process and delivers the system with high quality.
Position Requirements
- Practical knowledge about tools or processes supporting integration and verification
- Good Linux/Unix knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of script languages, like Python, Perl or Shell script
- Experience in test automation scripting and testing methodology is a plus
- Telecommunication and network management (e.g. TCP/IP, routing) knowledge is a plus
- Fluent spoken and written English skill
- Good teamwork spirit, accountability and self driven & motivation attitude
- Good communication skill in multi culture environment
- Be proactive, creative, flexible and result oriented
- Master or bachelor degree in software engineering, computer science or telecommunication

- Good Linux/Unix, ClearCase/SVN knowledge and experience
- Good agile and iterative software development experience

- Telecommunication and network management (e.g. TCP/IP, routing) knowledge is a plus
