Key Skill Requirements:       
•        7-10 years industry software development experience
•        5+ years of experience programming in any of the following languages:

•        3+ years proven records on infrastructure level software development e
xperience
•        Solid experience of development on Unix/Linux platform
•        Experience in HTTP protocol and RESTful API design and implementation
•        Experience in scalable system/distributed system is highly desirable
•        Experience in RDBMS/No-SQL/RabbitMQ is a big plus.
•        Experience in networking is highly desirable

Key role and responsibilities:
·         Participate in the architecture, design and development of feature
to meet new requirements

·         Deliver robust, fault tolerant, production code

·         Interacts cross functionally on matters that require coordination a
cross functional/organizational lines

·         Interact with members of the Mozy team across US & China to better
align with each other, voluntarily shares information

·         Provides technical expertise in developing solutions to complex sof
tware engineering problems, which require frequent use of ingenuity and creati
vity. Provides work leadership to others.

·         Writes functional detailed design specs as well as responding to re
quirement documents and system level test plans

·         Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives
, without appreciable direction

·         Provides technical expertise on solutions for a wide range of compl
ex software engineering problems. Assignments may include new products as well
as upgrades, and enhancements or fixes to existing products.

·         Accountable for delivery of subsystem, anticipates issues and addre

·         Writes high level design specs, unit test plans and/or integration
test plans

·         Analyze and code complex modules, define data structures, and speci
fy test tools

Qualifications and factors for success:
·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

·        4+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years web
development experience

·        Well understanding of object oriented programming and design

·        Experience in functional programming and design (nice to have)

·        Strong knowledge of web development technologies and protocols, incl
uding: HTTP, CSS, Javascript, HTML, XML

·        Experience in using Ruby programming language, and Ruby On Rails web
framework

·        Experience in developing non-ROR (Ruby On Rails) Ruby web applicatio
n (nice to have)

·        Experience in RESTful HTTP API

·        Strong understanding of web application performance & security conce
rns

·        Experience delivering and maintaining production applications

·        Ability to work in a team environment

·        Good verbal and written technical communication skills

·        Passion for technology

·        Experience with HTTP servers like Apache HTTP Server and Nginx

·        Experience with PostgreSQL

·        Experience with NoSQL databases (nice to have)

·        Understanding of software-as-a-service industry

·        Willing to work in Linux platform
