职位介绍：Technical Support Engineer — Unix Group

Key Responsibilities
The Customer Engineer will focus on providing technical phone support to our customer base.  This includes answering incoming problem calls, collecting and tracking information and details of the problem, trying to resolve the issues and escalating the calls to advanced personnel if necessary.

Required Skills
•        Oracle version 9 through 11: Understanding of architecture, key components and use of sqlplus for administrative tasks
•        Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN): Demonstrate use of the RMAN CLI to backup, recover and duplicate databases
•        Oracle Automatic Storage Manager (ASM): Understanding of architecture, understand differences/benefits/limitations between ASM and OS managed files
•        Oracle RAC Clusters: Conceptual understanding, and knowledge of RAC backup and recovery techniques/limitations and requirements
•        Oracle DataGuard Standby databases: Conceptual understanding and backup/recovery techniques
•        Oracle Exadata: Conceptual understanding of the architecture
•        Unix / Linux Operation systems any of (Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX)
•        Perl / Shell scripting
•        Disk subsystems, and snapshot / replication technologies (any vendor)
•        Any additional database experience: MSSQL, Sybase, DB2. Understanding of architecture and basic administration, backup and recovery
•        Commvault Simpana or (TSM/NetBackup/EMC Networker) data protection software
•        Technical degree is a plus, but not required
•        Multi-lingual skills are a strong plus
•        Strong customer relations skills
•        Strong written and verbal communication skill
•        Multi-task capable with strong time management skills
