Senior Kernel QE（Networking）
Job Summary：
The Red Hat Quality Engineering team is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join us in Beijing, China. The Quality Engineering team serves as the last checkpoint before code is released to the public. In this role, you will focus on searching, analyzing, and tracking defects and verifying bug fixes for the Linux kernel. You'll also identify testing gaps, improve kernel network function testing, and develop test cases.

Primary Job Responsibilities
Test 1G/10G/40G NIC drivers in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), as well as VLAN and bridge testing
Test NIC driver bugs and test case automation
Write, improve, and maintain test plans
Write, debug, and improve test cases
Implement test cases and analyze results
Debug software problems and create tools as needed

Required Skills

Solid background and skills with Linux
Proficient knowledge in NIC drivers and ethernet
Familiarity with shell, Python, or C programming
Good debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Passion and desire for testing and examining how things work internally
Ability to remain patient and diligent when working on tedious or detailed tasks
Good communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge in kernel implementation is a plus



Senior Quality Engineer - Kernel Storage

Job Summary

The Quality Engineering team at Red Hat is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to search for, analyze, report, and track defects, as well as verify bug fixes with various storage technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for developing test plans and test cases, writing scripts for automated testing, executing test cases, analyzing test results, and debugging problems. You'll also be encouraged to come up with innovative solutions to problems while working with some of the brightest engineers in the open source industry. We'll need you to be able to come up to speed quickly with new technologies and adapt to a growing and evolving team.


Primary Job Responsibilities

Provide full life cycle testing, including developing test plans and test cases
Perform manual or automatic testing
Analyze test results and identify and file bugs accordingly
Test bugs and write bug reproducers
Propose solutions

Required Skills

5+ years of working experience with kernel or storage system as a test engineer, developer, or support engineer
2+ years of software testing experience
Passion and desire for testing and examining how things work internally
Outstanding skills and background working with Linux
Familiarity with storage technologies like SAN, FC, HBA, CNA, FCoE, LVM2, Device Mapper, Storage Driver, etc.
Experience in the NetApp or EMC storage array and FC or FCoE switch
Extensive experience developing test cases using Perl and Shell or other similar scripting languages
Self-motivated, with an ability to take direction and work well within a team
Intermediate verbal and written English communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a distributed global team
ISTQB certification is a significant advantage
