The Red Hat Cloud Success team is seeking a Cloud Success Architect to join us in China. The Cloud Success team's mission reaches beyond just “break-fix” and focuses on engaging with customers and partners early during the adoption lifecycle to ensure a positive experience and a successful product adoption. In this role, you will be an expert in one or more cloud infrastructure or DevOps technology areas and a natural relationship builder, capable of earning respect both in and outside of Red Hat and acting as a trusted partner. As part of a global and diverse team, you'll need to think on your feet and improvise both technically and in relationships, and should have a tenacity for contributing to the development of the team. We'll need you to be a highly experienced technical expert with an eye for the big picture and the confidence to interface at the highest technical leadership levels within Red Hat's most strategic customers and partners.
  
Primary Responsibilities:  
  
Engage with Red Hat’s field teams, customers, and partners to ensure a positive cloud technology experience and a successful outcome resulting in long-term enterprise success
Help customers and partners define and achieve their adoption success criteria by providing proactive recommendations and advice
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with each qualified engagement through the complete product adoption lifecycle
Articulate how specific Red Hat cloud products and our cloud product roadmap aligns to customer and partner use cases
Advocate for innovation and early adoption of cloud technologies
Capture Red Hat solution capabilities and identify gaps as related to customer use cases through a closed loop process for each step of engagement lifecycle
Become a trusted partner to C-level executives within Red Hat’s strategic customers and partners, resulting in deeper loyalty and smoother adoption experience
Expand Red Hat’s influence with key industry thought leaders by helping to develop, articulate, and refine our overall strategy, technology vision, and case examples of customer impact
Engage with Red Hat’s product engineering teams to help develop solution patterns based on customer engagements and personal experience that increase platform adoption
Establish and maintain consistency with Red Hat cloud technologies strategy
Contribute internally to the Red Hat team by sharing knowledge and best practices with team members, contributing to internal projects and initiatives, and serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and mentor for specific technical or process areas
Travel, as necessary, to visit customers, partners, conferences, and other events
Required Skills:  
  
10+ years of Linux or UNIX system administration experience
Excellent understanding of Linux, the Linux kernel, and Linux filesystem
Expertise in cloud infrastructure (Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform), cloud management (Red Hat CloudForms), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) (OpenShift by Red Hat), virtualization, software-defined storage, or containers
Solid understanding of enterprise architecture and strategic business drivers
Experience in a technical leadership or mentor role
Hands-on experience with a variety of hardware vendors
Ability to manage multiple issues and projects while maintaining a high attention to detail
Experience in a support, development, engineering, or quality assurance organization
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to customers clearly and concisely
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English is a plus
Understanding of enterprise applications like SAP, Veritas, or SAS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology-related discipline (computer science or engineering is a plus)
Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) is an advantage
