为什么我的GTK装不上？

我明明装了glib2.6（安装configure－make－make install）步骤。
可是我装GTK的时候make发出下面的警告：

checking for gtk+-2.0 >;= 2.0.0... Package gtk+-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.

to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable

configure: error: Library requirements (gtk+-2.0 >;= 2.0.0) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.

我pkg装了。是不是PKG_CONFIG_PATH 这个要设置的吗？请问怎么设置，设置成什么？

还有个问题，我的glib2.6安装了，默认的，我redhat9，但我不知道装在哪里的。。。怎么办？

我也不知道。我倒是把glib2.7给装上了，.pc在的路径也导入到环境变量中了，configure也没问题了，可是编译pango、atk的时候又出错了，莫名其妙中。。
