请问：为什么我的网卡总有down掉的现象呢？

起初在机子上安装redhat 9.0(2.4.20-8smp)时，只有一块网卡，网卡工作正常，后来又加了一块网卡，就出现了第一块网卡有时会down掉的现象，请问这是为什么呢，是很多帖子说的双网卡造成的吗？怎么解决呢？（我的第一块网卡是内网卡，后加的一块是外网卡）

以下是一些网卡信息：

另外 ifconfig eth0  发现 TX packets:479 errors:5 （这是刚开机时的情况，之后error数越来越大）

也许是网卡的问题，也许是与驱动不兼容
换个网卡试试看

3 我现在想安装一下第一块网卡的驱动，因为安装redhat时，并没有安装网卡驱动就认出来了，不知道双网卡后，会不会就得安装一下？另外想请问一下：redhat 9.0 (2.4.20-8smp)对千兆网卡（marvell Yukon Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000Base-T Adapter）支持的好吗，需不需要重新编译内核或者升级到2.6？还没找到从哪下载该驱动，谁能告诉我个下载地址吗？

接到同一个switch上有可能形成网络环路，导致网络不可用

如果你ifconfig中收到error并不断增大，那是物理层的故障
