Job desc:
Works as a member of a development team designing, developing, and maintaining one or more Perl based HP internal applications.
Responsible for the quality and completeness of assignments, including investigation tasks, design, development, testing, bugs fixing, quality, documentation, and general application maintenance.
Work as application expert providing training to other team members when required
Requirements:
Essential Skills:
• PERL version 5+
• PERL DBI with Oracle as the database
• PERL CGI/mod_perl
• PERL application development using multi-threading
• Oracle SQL & PL/SQL knowledge
• Unix (preferably HP-UX) fundamentals, Shell knowledge (Korn or other), job control etc
• HTML, JavaScript programming
• Fluency in English, both written and oral.
• Expressing ideas and concerns clearly, logically and persuasively, both oral and written.
• Be able to work in a global team with team members located in multiple geographies
Preferred Skills:
• Oracle 9i or greater database administration
• Flexibility in working hours (potential weekend work)
