有没有办法从/var/adm/messages中的信息筛选出有用的信息

有没有什么方法筛选出象硬件故障、操作系统异常这些信息，用类似kern.warning这样的过滤方式好像不够全面（要么信息太多、要么遗漏别的信息）。

另外，messages文件中给出的msgid有没有手册可以查的？

你可以定义只记录error及error以上级别的信息啊
