Problem about fvwm and fcitx, need help

Now I have installed fvwm and fcitx on FreeBSD6.0, and I use csh.
In my .cshrc file, I have set:

setenv LANG zh_CN.EUC
setenv XMODIFIERS "@im=fcitx"

and in my .xinitrc, I have set:

xterm &
fcitx &
fvwm

Thus system opens xterm, and fcitx label in the top. Then, I type:

opera

and opera opened. But when I type: ctrl + space
opera turned to its official search page ?!
So I cannot use fcitx. What can I do? Thanks!

Thank you, but I think it works well, because when I hadn't add this to .cshrc, the chinese input method name cannot be displayed correctly. And after I add this, the input method name displayes well.

What amaze me is why opera turns to its official page when I type ctrl+space?
Is it means that I cannot use fcitx to input Chinese character for ever?
Are there any other way to make fcitx work? Thank you!
