Job Description:
This position designs, codes, tests, documents and modifies computer programs in several authorized languages. He or she needs to design computer programs and systems by gathering and analyzing data, formulating solutions, writing specifications, procedures and documentation. He or she also needs to perform detailed project planning and reports progress. In details, his or responsibility includes:
-Codes data, record and report descriptions contained in general program specifications.
-Design logic for individual programs or groups of programs per general program specifications.
-Codes programs in authorized languages per general program specification.
-Prepares test data for testing programs and systems.
-Validates the processing results of programs and systems.
-Codes job control language as necessary.
-Documents individual programs and systems in accordance with department standards.
-Prepares Operations documentation for individual programs and systems in accordance with department standards.
-Make modifications to existing programs.
-Corrects production system problems as necessary.
