DB2 with AIX

When we install DB2 with Linux environment we need to set the shared memory in Linux so may I know if I innstall DB2 with AIX do I need to set the shared memory as well? If yes, please advise how to set and how much do I need to set? The AIX server only have 2 GB RAM for 1 database.

32位实例不需要调整，64位实例不太熟悉，在linux上需要修改，在aix上不知道，你可以不修改先试试

Yes, Linux does need to do this. Aix does NOT. When starting up, db2 instance adjusts kernel params automatically. For 64-bit instance, you need to modify ulimit in AIX for db2 instance to use more memory segment. For detail see db2 information center.
