请教Iterator型问题？

怎样把Iterator中某个字段的最大值取出，并给他设置个flag?谢谢！
程序:
        $pager    = Yonsama::Data::VoiceMst->pager;
        my @contents = $pager->search_where(
                {
                        'open_date'  => {'<=', $now_time},
                        'close_date' => {'>=', $now_time},
                        'active'     => 1
                },
                {
                        order_by => 'insert_date desc'
                },
                $items_per_page,
                $current_page
        );
如果我想找到 insert_date 值(timestamp型)最大的（有重复的情况），该怎么办？

order by xxx desc...(SQL)
and then you need a variable that store the largest date you retrive..
if the variable is different the date retrive from DB, then stop retriving data, and show data..
