Responsibilities will include:
• Coordinating and executing releases for the Data Warehouse, involving Informatica, scripts, Appworx, ab-initio SQL, table/view DDLs, and in the future front-end applications like Business Objects Microstrategy, and other custom front-end reporting and decision applications
• Manage emergency release process (meetings for go/no go decisions, code & object migration, approvals)
• Assess and Implement Sarbanes-Oxley compliance improvements, including security/access control, auditing enhancements, etc.
• Build Data Warehouse release automation tools for approving and deploying code, refreshing the environment in Dev/QA, emergency deploy for disaster recovery, etc.  Integrate release applications with other project management tools inside eBay for approvals, notifications, etc.
• Facilitate and Review Operational details of the release – for example, space needed for data, time needed for loading, and the timing of the rollout.

• Superior analytical, problem solving, and organization skills.
• Good knowledge of UNIX, Shell, PHP, and/or Perl
• Experience with source code control tools – ClearCase preferred
• Strong SQL experience preferred
• 2-3 years in an IT environment preferably in a reporting or data warehouse environment.
• Ability to direct and motivate others.
• BS/BA in Computer Science or other technical field.
