职位描述：
This position is part of the IT team required to plan, manage, deploy and support the use of Ford's CAD/CAM/CAE/PIM Next Generation (C3P NG) technology in Greater China Region. The UNIX Server Administrator will be responsible for the administration of UNIX servers used for both the production and methods environments. The UNIX Server Administrator will ensure all C3P NG UNIX servers are properly installed, maintained, and administered to minimize production critical problems for all the Vehicle programs that will be designed and developed in Greater China Region. The UNIX Server Administrator will also liaise with his/her counterparts in Ford's global operations to ensure all these servers conform to global standards (specifications and configurations), and are able to allow TeamCenter Engineering (Tce) multi-sites to operate as planned.

Major Responsibilities:
-Perform installations and configurations of Sun Solaris environments;
-Establish standards for server hardware and operating systems;
-Implement software upgrades and new releases;
-Establish server usage policies and communicate policies to affected audience(s);
-Develop proposals, charters and other artifacts as required for internal projects;
-Schedule and execute system back-up and data recovery operations;
-Develop performance management procedures for servers and storage;
-Perform system monitoring and performance tuning;
-Maintain system administration and system build documentation;
-Manage vendor licenses and maintenance agreements leveraging existing corporate shared services model where appropriate and ensure license and support contracts are correct and paid;
-Work with other Ford UNIX server administrators for knowledge gain/share;
-Participate in weekly meetings of Ford global UNIX Administrators;
-Manage/setup lab machines for pre production version testing;
-Manage budgets associated with service contracts for server resources;
-Manage outages, identify root cause and resolve all server issues within allowed service levels.

Minimum Skills:
-Minimum 4 years employment in the IT industry working with a major systems vendor;
-University degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent job experience;
-English language skills - oral and writing;
-Extensive knowledge of UNIX operating system, database and web application server
Administration;
-Minimum 3 years experience as a Unix systems administrator;
-Minimum 3 years experience with Sun Solaris operating system required;
-Understanding of Oracle is plus;
-Working knowledge with other systems technologies (Windows, Linux, SAN, etc.) is a major plus;
-Candidate must have a proven track record of problem solving;
-Experience in system monitoring and logfile analysis;
-Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with team members, clients and vendors;
-Good communication skills;
-Analytical thinking.

Preferred Skills:
-2+ years data management software experience that includes defining, setting up rules and requirements, programming, and using data management software in an automotive production environment;
-Certification from UNIX system vendors;
-Experience in one of the Scripting Languages (sh, perl, csh);
-Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) architecture design and installation experience;
-Networking knowledge in the areas of LAN topology, TCP/IP, routers,firewalls, load balancing, and security policies.
