SCM Engineer – SWING

The Software Engineer – This is a second (swing) shift position in Shanghai.
•        Development and support of ClearCase, ClearQuest, and content management systems.  
•        Triage, resolve, and escalate issues with eBay site development systems.
•        Merge Train Conductor supporting developer code merges for eBay site releases.
•        Work in a fast paced environment with multiple teams in a large organization (software development, QA, Project/Release Management, Build and Release, etc).
•        Work with counterparts in San Jose to provide direct support to Shanghai developers and off hours support to San Jose developers.
•        Must be able to independently define, design, code and test service automation features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes.
•        Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese
•        Results-oriented person who has provided responsive support in 24x7 environment
•        Able to travel to US for training and planning
•        BS/BA in Computer Science or related fields
•        6+ years experience with software systems development life cycle including requirements, design, development, implementation, and support


Prefer hands-on experience in these areas:
•        Solid skills and experience with Perl, Perl CGI, html, Java, and XML.
•        ClearCase \ ClearCase MultiSite administration.
•        NT and UNIX scripting and administration.
•        WebSphere or Tomcat application server administration.  
•        ClearQuest experience a plus
•        Oracle / SQL experience a plus.
