关于64位的oracle10g的问题

我的服务器是支持64位.
我问过服务器经销商,他们说如果安装rhas4_64位的话,那么与其相关的软件也需要是64位的,是这样的吗?
如果要安装oracle,那么oracle也需要是64位的吗?还有weblogic?请大家帮忙.

因为这些64位的指令集向下兼容32位的指令集

一般64位环境会向下兼容,就是说,可以在64位环境下安装大部分的32位软件,但有些涉及内核模块的软件,可能就会无法安装,比如在amd64的刀片机上,安装了32bit 的as3,如果想安装asmlib,就需要加载新的模块,结果就不成功.
所以,如果是产品环境,尽量统一架构规格,否则出了问题很难判断.

对这种说法我表示非常的怀疑，因为到目前为止， 还没有听说过x86_64架构的服务器装x86的操作系统会有什么不兼容的问题。 现在几乎左右新的服务器都是支持em64t的xeon或者amd的opteron， 装32位的操作系统没有遇到过什么不兼容的问题.

你说的asmlib是oracle 10g中的哪个asmlib么？ 安装的时候遇到了什么问题？ 贴上来大家分析分析

以下是安装oracle 10g asmlib的信息,如果能帮我解决,再好不过.因为不是asm必须的组件,咨询oracle人员后,说法是as3为32位问题,就没有再装asmlib.

这个问题和kernel版本有关，而不是和32bit or 64bit有关
试一下从oss.oracle.com下载asmlib kernel 原代码安装看看.
