NetBIOS name SERVER.DOMAIN.COM is too long

After I started the  nmbd service "/opt/samba/bin/startsmb -n",
I cannot find "SERVER.DOMAIN.COM" in the network,
but I can find "SERVER.DOMAIN.C" in the network,
then I check the nmbd log and find the followings:

[2006/08/21 17:10:44, 0] nmbd/nmbd_nameregister.c:register_name(481)
  register_name: NetBIOS name SERVER.DOMAIN.COM is too long. Truncating to SERVER.DOMAIN.C

Anybody can solve this problem that I want "SERVER.DOMAIN.COM" can be found in the MS
network. THX!!!
