RESPONSIBILITIES:
Keep management database configuration and performance tuning
Manage and support a large site database environment with Oracle and MySql
Establish and follow best practices for enterprise monitoring, troubleshooting and
maintenance
Design and document architecture and procedures around back-end database
In charge of database security and backup/restore
Qualification Skills:
Strong knowledge on Oracle DBA, good experience on performance tuning. Experience
with supporting in a 24x7 HA environment will be big plus.
Familiar with Database installation/creation
Familiar with RMAN(Recovery Manager), master import/export tools
Familiar with SQL Loader
Good knowledge on Command line operation
Strong ability in PL/SQL scripting
Good knowledge on Oracle Dictionary
Quick judgment & Solution for Database incidents
Familiar with usage of statspack and spreport to analyze/tuning database
Good experience in database recovery.
Solid knowledge of operating system such as Unix and Linux, AIX as a plus
Working knowledge in J2EE Web applications.
OCP(Oracle Certification Program) license preferred
Professional Java/C++ programming experience preferred
2+ years Telcom field experience preferred
Background knowledge of telecommunication standards including Parlay, Parlay X, and
network services including SMS, MMS, LBS, PAP, LBS and etc. will be a major plus.
Understanding of disk hardware architecture, RAID(Redundant Array of Independent)
implementation, cache controllers, and disk load balancing
Be able to work under high pressure, able to work flexible hours as required by business
priorities
Fluent spoken & written English
Educational Requirements:
BS or MS in Computer Science or related field of education.
