This book covers Informix Online 5.0 internal Architecture. Since the ISAM layer hasn't be changed so much in IDS 7.x and 9.x, it is worth reading.  

The original book is around 8 MB,  split into 8 parts and compressed by WinRAR.

Hi , why did you open the old informix history book ? As you know , IDS7.31,IDS9.4 is mainstream in China market , you should give us useful information about the higher version not old one . But thank your effort now ,online5  was a  very stable ,meaningful  milestone version .

This book covers Informix internal disk infrastructure ( ISAM layer ). The ISAM layer is same with IDS 7.x and IDS 9.X, it didn't be changed too much.  There might be a little difference in page header for IDS9.4 when the large chunk size ( > 2G) feature is turned on.   Internally,  it is mandatory reading for advanced support engineer.  If you wanna something in detail and low level about Informix disk structure ( page, table, table space, index, reserve pages ... ), it is still worth reading.

Actually, the Informix Internal Architecture 7.x is almost same as this one, it just add some chapter talking about multi-thread engine.   The ISAM layer was changed too much in IDS 7 and IDS 9.  You will not regret reading this book.

it worked for me :-
Just download all 8 parts and put them into a temp dir. Open WinRAR, then all 8 parts will be displayed at the WinRAR window, choose all of them and extract.  

Anyway, upload part03 again per your request
