xfce4的界面透明问题？？

我的笔记本是ATI Radeon 9700显卡，没有打开硬件加速。（ direct rendering: No ）
系统FB6.1，xorg 6.9.0.1，xfce4.2.3.2，xfce4-wm安装时开启了COMPOSITE，
xorg.conf中加入了:
Section "Extensions"
    Option "Composite" "Enable"
EndSection

但重启xfce4,只有最下方的Xfce面板是透明的，其它的窗口或是软件界面一律没有变化。

请问是不是因为我的硬件加速没开才使xfce4的界面不透明，还是因为我没配置好？
FreeBSD下的用户有没有把xfce4的窗口透明配置成功过的？？！！

不开硬件加速用这些效果，那是自找苦吃了。。，在Linux下，我试过KDE的透明效果，跟看幻灯片似的

Xfce FAQ 里好像说这样只能开启面板的透明效果，摘录如下：

12. How do I enable panel transparency and windows shadows?

Xfwm4 includes its own compositing manager, which allows transparency for the panel and shadows for the windows. The compositing manager uses the X.org >= X11R6.8.0 Xcomposite extension, so you first have to be running this version of the graphical server.

The composite extension has to be activated in you /etc/X11/xorg.conf using the following section:

Section "Extensions"
    Option "Composite" "Enable"

我也没找到在Xfce4.2下应该怎么做，不过Xfce4.4应该有这个设置，现在已经RC1了，快了

去 XFCE 官方 www.xfce.org 下载 xfce4-4.4RC1-installer.run
安装后稍做配置即可 ( Setting->Window Manager Tweaks->Compositor )。
