Sr. C++ Developer
Qualifications:
We need people with experience in multiplatform development, who have expertise on Solaris, Linux and other major UNIX platforms, and who understand the ins and outs of developing and debugging code that will run in different environments. Strong background in C/C++ development throughout the entire software lifecycle is a must, as is professional experience developing on the SOAP/XML/HTTP stack and with SOAP based web service development. Experience with client/server applications and contemporary remote deployment mechanisms is highly desired, and professional use of other application abstraction components such as OpenSSL, ACE and TAO is a plus.
We are looking for an someone who has great initiative, is action-oriented, enjoys working in global teams with challenging priorities and schedules to deliver against, who has strong problem solving skills, is an excellent and passionate communicator, and loves working with bright and talented people that will challenge them every day. Bachelor's degree in computer science and 5+ years experience in related work.
Responsibilities:
This role spans several groups. We are responsible to deliver components that will be used by several leading products to manage their application agents. Design, develop and maintain high-quality code for distributed client and agent management infrastructure components with a focus on a team approach, with flexible work requirements and schedule. Be fully responsible for end-to-end design, development and delivery of agent management technology that meets diverse and sometimes conflicting product requirements. Identify and resolve issues early in the process and work to mitigate impacts of those found later in the process. Identify, evaluate and learn new technologies rapidly and build and deliver components using those technologies.
Sr. Kernal Software Engineer
Duties:
-Design, develop and maintain high-quality code for VxVM on the Solaris and Linux platform;
-Work on quality improvements and enhancements for the Volume Manager features on the these platforms;
-Work individually on committed milestones and across internal stack solution partners;
-Interface with the Solaris and Linux OS at the user and kernel levels, debug core files and system panics;
-Participate in customer escalations debugging issues found and coming up with proposed solutions in a timely fashion.
Requirements:
-3+ years of system software development experiences;
-Knowledge of UNIX kernel, device drivers, I/O subsystem, SANs and storage arrays;
-Knowledge of clustering, SCSI3 PR a plus; Ability to be action-oriented;
-Ability to work with independently and set priorities for multiple projects;
-Strong problem solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills;
-Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience. |
