Connect HUDlite to trixbox

First create an extension use the FreePBX. The quick install guide for trixbox can help you with this.

Now you need to create extensions for the HUDlite server.

From the trixbox main menu click System Administration -> HUD manager.

You will need to create new devices and extensions for each of your hard and soft SIP phones.

Click New Device and enter the device name. The name can be anything. I usually use SIPextension# (ie SIP200) but if you have more then one extension per phone you could use SIPmacaddress.

Next enter the extension of the phone in the ext field. The Name field can be anything such as the name of the person using the phone.

The username and password are for the HUDlite client. You will be asked these when you connect the HUDlite client to the trixbox server.

Email IM and cell phone number are optional. They may be used by future versions of HUDlite

Click save

Click the + sign next to the device to create another extension for that device or create more devices.

Next install the HUDlite client on you PC you can use the documentation on the HUDlite site for this.
