我用RHEL AS4 U4装IDS 10
到：
Initializing InstallShield Wizard........
          Extracting Bundled JRE.
这一步就退出来了，好像是java的问题
但是光盘上没有找到相关jdk的rpm包啊
你的系统装好后对java的支持是什么情况啊？


我使用：
./ids_install -is:javahome /usr/lib/jvm/jre
然后出现：
Initializing InstallShield Wizard........
Launching InstallShield Wizard........
然后就一直停留在这里，进行不下去了。

使用：
java -version
可以看到：
java version "1.4.2"
gcj (GCC) 3.4.6 20060404 (Red Hat 3.4.6-3)

OS 的方面没太注意过   好像再linux安装的时候要选些包的

你用的软件包是什么
是不是：IDS 10 FC5？

我用这个软件包在SuSE Enterprise Server 10 x86_64上装
会出错，提示/opt/informix/etc/brand是无法识别运行的二进制文件
不知道是怎么回事？

没错 IDS FC5    我再SUSE9.3 &  REDHAT  装都没问题
但再SUSE10上 安装没问题  但oninit 的时候  老是报 端口初始化的错误

估计小样的是SUSE10的bug   好像ids也没说支持 SUSE10

IDS 10 FC5的LINUX版本是64位的，你在SUSE EL 10 X86上面怎么可能安装成功。
换UC5，或者用SUSE EL 10 X86_64。
当然，还要仔细看你的FC是那个版本， 还有PPC64 LINUX的FC5

呵呵，不好意思，我写错了，应该是x86_64
我的SuSE是64bit的
可能是软件包有问题。

我也遇到过。很简单解决。去下载JDK1.5，然后环境变量里指向JDK1.5就可以了。
