[新手问题]mysql配置问题

cpu是2.4HZ, 2G内存
系统是FreeBSD6.0

现在的情况时mysql链接一上120，就导致整个服务器运行很慢，页面也打不开，请问以上的配置需要修改哪些地方？

可能是我描述的有问题，自己才接触mysql，所以很多不懂得，还望各位多给点意见。
