x.org port may work
Previously, if you wanted to use x.org instead of XFree86, a package was your best bet. However, the FreeBSD port appears to be up to date, and may build correctly.

Well, it looks like FreeBSD has decided to make the switch to X.org for 5.3-RELEASE (it seems to be the default now in -CURRENT), so does this mean that DragonFly will be doing so as well? I seem to recall Matt Dillon taking a wait and see approach to this, and saying something along the lines of doing what FreeBSD does here... |
