The problem has been observed only on platforms with the CMD646 IDE controller\r\nrevision >5. You can verify the controller information from the OBP:\r\n{2} ok devalias\r\nAlias Device Path\r\n--------------------------------------------------\r\nxdisk /ssm@0,0/pci@18,600000/scsi@2,1/disk@0,0\r\nxnet /ssm@0,0/pci@19,600000/network@2\r\ncdrom /ssm@0,0/pci@18,700000/ide@3/cdrom@0,0:f\r\ndisk /ssm@0,0/pci@18,600000/scsi@2/disk@0,0\r\n<snip>\r\nTake the cdrom line & “cd” down the device tree stopping before the /cdrom@.\r\n{2} ok cd /ssm@0,0/pci@18,700000/ide@3\r\n{2} ok .properties\r\nassigned-addresses 81001810 00000000 00000300 00000000 00000008 81001814\r\n<snip>\r\nAt the end of the .properties output you will see controller vendor, device and\r\nrevision specific info. Similar to:...\r\nrevision-id 0x7\r\ndevice-id 0x646\r\nvendor-id 0x1095\r\nThe above example shows 646 as controller & revision 7 i.e. This platform is at risk. |
