Fedora 10 mysql 安装问题？

安装 mysql 包: mysql-5.1.34-linux-i686-glibc23.tar.gz

安装完成后， 可以 登录到 mysql

mysql>

(应该是安装成功了...)

但是我现在想把mysql 服务 加到系统里面。
使用 chkconfig --add mysql
error reading information on service mysql: No such file or directory

在 /etc/rc.d/init.d   /etc/init.d/ 中 也没有 mysql. 应该怎么办呢?

service --status-all  输出也没有 mysql.

netstat -nat   输出可以看到
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address               Foreign Address             State
tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:3306                0.0.0.0:*                   LISTEN

loveradmin

cp support-files/mysql.server /etc/rc.d/init.d/mysqld
chmod 700 /etc/rc.d/init.d/mysqld
chkconfig --add mysqld

要经常使用tab,mysql的服务是mysqld.

我查看了 /etc/rc.d/init.d/mysqld 文件
发现
pid_file=
server_pid_file=
请问怎么改呢 ？

检查/etc/my.cnf下的pid目录在哪，如果有设置logdir可在
tail -f 进行查看详细的错误日志进行处理。
