Job Title - QM Manager
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The SAP Global Service Center (GSC) was created in 2006 in the board area of Gerhard Oswald to provide SAP Business ByDesign customer services. The headquarters is located in Chengdu, China, with other service advisory and development centers in Palo Alto and Philadelphia (US), Shanghai (China), Brno (Czech), St. Leon-Rot (Germany), and Sao Leopoldo (Brazil). With 150 professionals at present time, the GSC aims to provide the following services to SAP Business ByDesign customers: on-demand content development (such as forms, reports, Field Extension, UI, etc), catalog based content development (pre-defined contents based on best practices), and remote services (such as data migration and A2A/B2B). All the services are provided remotely and should be volume business ready.
As a "watchdog" of the entire GSC, the QM team monitors the quality of all the services, as well as the process compliance and TCO compliance. The current QM team now is comprised a Team Lead and 7 team members, located in Chengdu. All of them have a Master Degree with computer science and/or engineering degrees. 5 of them are fresh graduates with around one year working experience. With the current plan, 1 QM specialist will be identified at individual development center outside of Chengdu (I.E. service centers in Brazil, Czech) to support Chengdu on the global QM activity execution. The total QM work force now is more than 15 people, including virtual members from Chengdu service teams. The QM Manager will be leading this GSC QM team report to General Manager of GSC.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Possessing excellent and proven leadership skills
- Having long experience in software development, software quality management at SAP
- Experiencing in personnel management and people development
- Communicating with a clear, convincing and consistent manner
- Working with colleagues having diversified backgrounds and ages
- Strong knowledge of complete QA Cycle and experience in various types of testing such as System Integration, Functional, Performance, etc.
- Strong analytical skills and effectiveness in solving problems
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Create a QM working model suitable for the GSC service delivery model: fast moving, large volume, low cost and multiple locations.
- Lead QM teams at all locations with technical responsibilities, take both technical and personnel responsibilities for QM team Chengdu in close cooperation with the development teams
- Develop short term and long term QM strategy, business plan and QM process, to meet the demands of ever evolving business needs, like adding new services.
- Recruit and train team members and get them up to speed in a short amount of time prepare upcoming large volume of services worldwide.
- Setup the efficient testing environment/infrastructure and testing process including testing automation and regression test.
- Represent GSC in SAP Business ByDesign community including Development and Service and Support on all QM related topics.
Work Experience
