In this position, you will be responsible for running server workloads (for example, Citrix, SAP, SpecJBB, SysBench) on a variety of VMMs from VMware, Xen and Microsoft, all on DP and MP hardware systems. Statistics gathered off the platform will be analyzed for sources of performance bottlenecks (memory and I/O bandwidth, memory latency) and used to influence the architecture and algorithms used in the VMMs, future generations of Xxxxx's VT technology, and provide competitive collateral. Results will be captured in white papers and distributed externally to the group.

You should possess a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with more than two years experience; or a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with more than four years experience. Additional qualifications include:
- Solid understanding of computer architecture and server platform hardware
- Ability to drive action across Xxxxx groups and within the industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to take abstract concepts and develop concrete action plan to influence Xxxxx and VMM vendors
- Experience with Linux* and Windows* operating systems
- Knowledge of performance collection tools (VTune, PIN, and others) would be an added advantage
