Job Title: Business Process Specialist – Asia (PTO / OTC/MM/SD)
Reports to (position): Business Process Consultants
Department/Function: IS
Purpose of the position
- To assist in the design and implementation of best practice business processes in Asia and deliver initiatives for continuous process improvement;
- To provide support service to the business in the relevant applications;
- To provide business process input into new projects and programmes
- To ensure effective utilisation of company’s information systems;
Principal responsibilities
- To ensure full exploitation of IM systems in the area of responsibility in conjunction with Business Process Manager;
- Work in tandem with Business Process Manager to achieve benefits identified in the business case;
- Delivery of business improvement initiatives supporting Business Unit strategy;
- Business process modelling, design and ownership of business processes;
- Manage system changes through to the Production environment following IM methodology, ensuring a quality delivered solution;
- Assist in development of business cases;
- Support change management through business coach training and communications;
- Supporting help desk and coaches in resolving problems;
- Work closely with the business and attend/proactively contribute to business forums;
- Provision of consulting and problem solving to continuously improve business processes;
- Stay abreast of technological developments;
- To become involved in global projects as required;
- To assist the Business Process Manager in managing work requests and priorities for the specific process area
- Work with Software Development Centre programmers to development enhancement specifications;
- Support the business process manager in driving best practice through Asia;
Key interfaces
- Managing the expectations of a significant user base across a large geography with multi lingual and multi cultural complexities;
- Working across various time zones within Asia and with the global IM organisation;
- Working across and supporting multiple SAP production environments based on common template;
- New organization with requirement of setting up new processes and procedures based on global IM methodology.
Required qualifications/experience
- Sound understanding of business processes
- Strong working knowledge of related SAP functionality
- Understanding of how IM can be used to support business process improvements;
- Able to work and communicate with local and global employees – fluent in English;
- Strong analytical skills
