Title: Linux OS Engineer
Grade: G6
Location: Beijing
Description
In this position, you will be building and delivering open source software and Linux* on Intel(R) architecture, initially focusing on Linux enabling for OSVs. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
•Working with worldwide Linux* OS vendors to enable Intel's technologies and platforms in their OS.
•Testing Linux* OS distributions on Intel(R) platforms and resolve issues
• articipate in open source project development, especially Linux kernel and drivers
•Collaborating with Linux OSV engineers across different geos
Qualifications
You should possess a Master or a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or other related technical degrees. Additional qualifications include:
•At least three years experience on Linux or UNIX software development with proven project records
•Familiar with x86 architecture
•Knowledge of open source development models
•Excellent C/C++ programming and debugging skills
•Verbal and written communication skills (both in Mandarin and English)
Title: Performance Engineer
Location: SH
Grade: G6, G7
Responsibilities
The Server performance analysis group in System software division within SSG is looking for a Performance Engineer to conduct experiments on virtualized server platforms. The candidate will be responsible for running server workloads (e.g., Citrix, SAP, SpecJBB, SysBench) on a variety of VMMs from VMware, Xen and Microsoft, all on DP and MP hardware systems. Statistics gathered off the platform will be analyzed for sources of performance bottlenecks (memory & I/O bandwidth, memory latency) and used to influence the architecture and algorithms used in the VMMs, future generations of Intel?s VT technology, and provide competitive collateral. Results will be captured in white papers and distributed externally to the group.
Qualifications
You should possess a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 2+ years experience; or a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 4+ years experience. Additional qualifications include:
Solid understanding of computer architecture and server platform hardware
Experience with Linux* and Windows* operating systems
Ability to drive action across Intel groups and within the industry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to take abstract concepts and develop concrete action plan to influence Intel and VMM vendors.
Knowledge of performance collection tools (VTune, PIN, etc.) is also a plus.
Title: Technical Consultant Engineer - 554999
Location:SH
Grade: 6 -7
Description
In this position, you will be part of the Intel Developer Products Division's Intel Compilers Lab as a Technical Consulting Engineer (TCE). You will be responsible for the technical support and training of software developers to help them use the latest Intel? Software Development Products (compilers, debuggers, threading tools and libraries) for Intel’s latest multi-core processors. You will be working in a technical support and consulting capacity to help software developers adopt our latest C++ tools for parallelism, helping to triage problems they run into, train them on our new tools and technologies, and feed issues and requirements into the product development team for future products. We are implementing new online knowledge-based support systems, thus good technical writing and customer-facing skills are a must.
Qualifications
You should possess a relevant educational qualification in Computer Science or Engineering with strong C/C++ software development experience on Linux* platforms and Microsoft* Windows*. Additional qualifications include:
•Experience in developing , troubleshooting and maintaining sophisticated C++ applications that take advantage of C++ templates
•Strong knowledge of Fortran 90/95 on any platform - Windows a plus
•Ability to build, debug and optimize performance of large, multithreaded applications
•Knowledge of compiler technology
• revious demonstrable experience in interacting with and supporting customers
•Skills in quality assurance testing and evaluation, scripting, performance tuning and analysis of large applications and software environments
•Experience in training and developing technical training material for professional software engineers |
