Scope of Work for 1st Level Support
SAP Basis Installation/Upgrade Services
- Install and customizes the SAP front-end software (SAPGUI)
- Upgrade the SAP front-end software (SAPGUI)
SAP Basis Support Services
- Monitor BASIS related problems as reflected in SAP logs (e.g. ST22, SM21, developer traces)
- Monitor R/3 Logon load balancing
- Monitor SAP performance buffers
- Update SAP technical procedure/process
- Manage OSS access to SAP Production systems
SAP Change and Transport Management
- Perform and track SAP transport request
SAP Batch Management
- Schedule and monitor BASIS related batch jobs (e.g. Housekeeping)
SAP Printing Support
- Monitor R/3 Spool Management
- Administrate standard SAP printers within SAP system (i.e. SPAD)
- Administrate print queues within OS environment
SAP Database Support
- Monitor database space management (tablespace/table/index extension)
- Monitor database performance buffers
SAP Backup and Recovery Services
- Schedule system, R3 executable files, database and database archive log backups
- Monitor scheduled backups
SAP Performance and Capacity Management
- Generate SAP performance and capacity (e.g. SAP workload analysis,
database growth) for production system
- Monitor OS level performance and capacity (e.g. CPU, memory and disk utilization)
Hyper Alerts Monitoring and Notification
- maintenance sowftware matrix of customer accounts
- monitor & report alerts (e.g. SAP Hotnews, DB2 Hyper APARS, etc)
- monitor & report availability of sowftware patches (e.g. DB2 fixpatch)
Scope of work for 2nd Level
SAP Basis Installation/Upgrade Services
- Install the contracted Database Software (e.g. Oracle 9.2) and SAP Software
(e.g. R/3 4.70 Enterprise)
- Upgrade the contracted Database Software (e.g. Oracle 9.2) and SAP Software
(e.g. R/3 4.70 Enterprise)
- Create the contracted number of SAP instances and clients
- Initialize the SAP Transport Management System for the SAP Landscape in
accordance with customer requirements
- Setup OSS access to SAP and SAP Early Watch Alert services
- Request and apply SAP landscape
- Document the in-scope SAP landscape
- Apply R/3 Kernel patches, Support Packages and BASIS related OSS notes
SAP Basis Support Services
- Diagnose and resolve BASIS related problems as reflected in SAP logs
(e.g. ST22, SM21, developer traces)
- Maintain R/3 Logon load balancing
- Maintain BASIS Configuration (e.g. SAP Instance profile)
- Analyze and tune SAP performance buffers
- Document SAP technical procedure/process
SAP Change and Transport Management
- Ensure Change and Transport (CTS) is functioning correctly
- Correct aborted and erroneous transport due to BASIS related errors
SAP Batch Management
- Resolve BASIS related batch jobs (e.g. Housekeeping)
SAP Printing Support
- Maintain R/3 Spool Management
- Setup standard SAP printers within SAP system (i.e. SPAD)
- Setup print queues within OS environment
SAP Database Support
- Perform database space management (tablespace/table/index extension)
- Analyze and tune database performance buffers
- Maintain database runtime User ID management for SAP BASIS component
- Perform database fault diagnosis and application of related OSS fixes
(for SAP database runtime only)
SAP Backup and Recovery Services
- Setup system, R3 executable files, database and database archive log backups
- Document, maintain and where appropriate, update backup and restore procedures
- Monitor scheduled backups
- Perform R/3 executable files and database restore and recovery
- Monitor R/3 executable files and database restore and recovery
SAP Performance and Capacity Management
- Review and report SAP performance and capacity (e.g. SAP workload analysis,
database growth) for production system
- Report OS level performance and capacity (e.g. CPU, memory and disk utilization)
SAP Security and Audit
- Implement GSD331 security guidelines
- Perform security health check
Hyper Alerts Monitoring and Notification
- elvaluate alerts and apply fixes
- elvaluate / implement software patches
Scope of work for 3rd Level Support
SAP Basis Installation/Upgrade Services
- Perform R/3 sizing
- Perform SAP landscape design (e.g. SAP instances and clients)
- Perform SAP Database design and layout
- Provide/Review the installation/upgrade plan
- Perform Quality Assurance for the installed/upgraded systems
- Review recommendation to apply R/3 Kernel patches, Support Packages and
BASIS related OSS notes
SAP Basis Support Services
- Provide 2nd level support to diagnose and resolve BASIS related problems
- Provide 2nd level support to analyze and tune SAP performance buffers
- Review SAP technical procedure/process
SAP Change and Transport Management
- Provide 2nd level support to resolve BASIS related errors
SAP Batch Management
- Provide 2nd level support to resolve BASIS related batch jobs
SAP Database Support
- Provide 2nd level support to analyze and tune database performance buffers
- Provide 2nd level to database fault diagnosis and application of related OSS fixes
SAP Backup and Recovery Services
- Review backup, restore and recovery concept and procedures
- Review database restore and recovery
SAP Performance and Capacity Management
- Perform SAP performance and capacity planning and recommendations
SAP Security and Audit
- Enforce GSD331 security guidelines
- Evaluate security advisories
SAP Change Review
- Provide support for critical project change
