System Engineer

l       Job Status: Full time

l       Relevant Work Experience: 3+ years

l       Education Level: Bachelor

l       Preferred major: Computer Science

l       Language capability: Good English reading and writing

l       Working location: Beijing

l       Job responsibilities:

(1)     To work with international network operation team, administrate the servers, network infrastructure in IDC for online team, ensure high hardware and network availability in accordance with company service level;

(2) Work with international team, to carry out high reliability hardware architecture, considering the hardware redundancy, load-balancing, network security, service persistency, recovery in fault mechanism to secure 24*7 underlying platform availability;

(3) You will have the responsibility to take care of all of the underlying system services (HTTP, HTTPS, SSH/RDP, SMTP/POP3, DATABASE) running on servers to make sure they serve the high level applications with zero down time;

(4) You will have the responsibility to protect our servers and network devices from being attacked over the internet or intranet using your intelligence and experience;

(5) Communicate with development team and testing team or any other teams need your assistance;

(6) We may need you to work under pressure to ensure the highest quality persistent services;

l       Technical background and skills:

(1)     Full knowledge of the network topologies
(2)     Rich experience in network infrastructure administration, specifically for Cisco PIX Firewalls, Cisco switches and F5 Load Balancers

(3)     Full knowledge of the TCP/IP protocols stack, various Load Balancing methodologies and internet security mechanism

(4)     Rich experience in using some NOC monitoring tools like nagios, cacti
(5)     Good experience in using IDS, know how to use traffic monitors/ports scanners to discover attacks and potential threat from the LAN or Internet

(6)     Rich experience in Windows 2003 server / Linux system administration
(7)     Good experience in configuring a set of services, including HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, POP3, FTP, SSH, DNS, RSYNC, NFS on Linux systems, and WWW, SMTP, RDP, POP3, FTP, DNS, DHCP, REPLICATION on Windows platforms

(     Master a set of well-known service software: Apache, Tomcat, Resin, QMAIL, SENDMAIL, MYSQL.... on Linux platforms, and IIS, MSSQL… on Windows platforms

(9)     Good experience in Windows batch scripting and Unix shel programming

Application Engineer

l       Job Status: Full time

l       Relevant Work Experience: 2+ years

l       Education Level: Bachelor

l       Preferred major: Computer Science

l       Language capability: Good English reading and writing

l       Working location: Beijing

l       Job responsibilities:

(1)     To follow the team’s guidelines, dedicated to our web-based products and services development and maintenance;

(2) Work with team to build high stability, good performance services and products, strictly implement the design purpose from design analysts, within a reasonable planned timeline;

(3) You will have the responsibility to code in concurrent version environment, complete unit testing, fix bugs found by yourself or raised by testers, make sure you follow the company’s software development process standards;

(4) You will have the responsibility to make teammates understand the codes you initiated or updated, by good code commenting and sharing in source repository;

(5) Communicate with production team and testing team or any other teams need your assistance;

(6) We may need you to work under pressure to ensure the production time line;

l       Technical background and skills:

(1)     Experience in large commercial web applications is preferred;

(2)     Good experience in object-oriented programming;

(3)     Got used to concurrent versioning development environment;

(4)     Good experience in JSP/PHP based web applications development;

(5)     Familiar with Apache, Tomcat/Resin web servers;

(6)     Familiar with Linux, Windows 2003 Server operating systems;

(7)     Familiar with MSSQL and MYSQL database, good experience in high performance SQL, stored procedure programming;

(     Familiar with HTTP protocol and HTML standards;

(9)     Rich experience in Java programming;

(10)    Good understanding on service optimization skills in high concurrent massive requests environment;

(11)    Full experience in JavaScript programming, and AJAX technology to implement cool and friendly user interfaces;

(12)    Necessary graphic processing skills for presenting static and animated graphical content;

(13)    Necessary knowledge of streaming media for presenting video-class multimedia content;

(14)    Necessary skills of ActionScript2.0/3.0 programming for advertising items and simple games;

(15)    Good code style with rich comments and explanations;

Platform Engineer

l       Language capability: Good English reading and writing

l       Working location: Beijing

l       Job responsibilities:

(1)     To follow the team’s guidelines, dedicated to our underlying online platform development and maintenance;

(2) Work with team to build high reliability, good performance interfaces, services and platform to serve the high-level applications;

(3) You will have the responsibility to code in concurrent version environment, complete unit testing, fix bugs found by yourself or raised by testers, make sure you follow the company’s software development process standards;

(4) You will have the responsibility to make teammates understand the codes you initiated or updated, by good code commenting and sharing in source repository;

(5) Communicate with production team and testing team or any other teams who need your assistance;

(6) We may need you to work under pressure in case of tight production delivery timeline;

l       Technical background and skills:

(     Good knowledge of MIME types and a variety of multimedia file standards

(9)     Familiar with MSSQL, MYSQL database, good experience in high performance SQL, stored procedure programming;

(10)    Good practice on Linux and Windows 2003 Server operating systems;

(11)    Good understanding on service optimization skills in high concurrent massive requests environment;

(12)    Familiar with HTTP protocol and HTML standards;

(13)    Necessary graphic processing skills for multimedia assets processing and converting;;

(14)    Necessary skills of ActionScript2.0/3.0 programming for core components development for video streaming and gaming;
