Job Description: In this position, you will be working as a (Sr.) Software Engineer in Consumer Electronics Group (CEG) PRC group. The position requires a self-driven individual who is capable and excited to learn about new technologies and usage models in the Consumer Industry. You will be tasked with developing, porting and testing SW and platform technologies to enable OCAP, broadcast TV, and broadband internet by leveraging work of similar teams within Intel or open source. Expect to develop and port SW to CE platform that take advantage of Intel silicon. In this position, you will be mainly focusing on for Windows* and/or Linux* applications, system software and device drivers on Lamar Creek platform and certified devices. You will also be working closely with US counter-parts and ecosystem partners.
You must possess a Master or a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with more than four years of applicable industry experience working on a product from design through production.

- Strong background in consumer electronics and/or media technologies
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Strong C/C++ and associated SW development skills
- Strong Influencing skills
- Experience in software and/or application development and debugging embedded Software in both Windows* and Linux* environment
- Have passion for the job, highly motivated and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to deal with some ambiguity in defining activities and direction
- Ability to engage with external vendors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good planning skills
