The need for building a tiered storage and information life cycle management (ILM) strategy is outlined in detail.

    The process of identifying business objectives begins by developing an in-depth understanding of business processes and policies as they relate to records retention. Facets such as corporate governance, regulatory compliance, litigation support, Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) are considered.
