Key Responsibilities
• Working closely with our software development engineers to collect feature requirements and criteria
• Defining test plans, implementing test scripts and harnesses
• Conducting functional and quality testing at system level
• Compiling a variety of test and quality reports to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards
Qualifications for this role include:
Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in Software Quality and Test Automation, knowledge in wireless communications at work or through education, and experience in black box testing. Qualified candidates will understand the architecture factors affecting system level performance such as clock speed and memory size, and be able to investigate and identify issues from a complete system perspective. Specific requirements for this role include:
• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering required, M.S. preferred.
• 2 or more years experience as a Software QA Engineer, 5 or more years experience for the Senior Software QA roles
• Expertise in developing test software on DSP simulators and hardware required; working knowledge on one or more TI or Analog Devices DSP platforms is highly desired
• Expertise in scripting language such as Perl, Python, or TCL
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and flow. Both white-box and black-box test experience preferred
• Understanding basic wireless communication theory and standards
• Good understanding of C programming language is a plus
• Good communication and teamwork skills; strong attention to detail
