PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:        

•        Administration and support of production SQL databases.  Responsible for performing administration affecting all users of these systems.                   (30%)
•        Development and maintenance of the architecture and standards used in all of the production, test, and development relational database systems.        (25%)
•        Responsible for the ongoing capacity and performance management of all production relational database management systems, including SQL analysis and recommendations to development to improve performance.                (25%)
•        Windows Server administration with regards to the application/web servers.                                                                                (20%)

        
        SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
        
•        On-call and off-hour support responsibilities.
•        Other duties as assigned.

        
        REQUIREMENTS (required education, experience, knowledge, skills & abilities):
        
•        Minimum of 4 years experience in MS SQL (SQL 2000 and SQL 2005) database administration.
•        Minimum of 4 years experience of Windows Server operating system Administration.
•        Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows VB Scripting.
•        Working knowledge of Windows Active Directory.
•        Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
•        Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
•        Must be highly organized and able to work in a fast paced environment.
•        Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
•        Strong understanding of Web Server environments.
•        Willing to learn new skills as required.
•        Strong verbal and written communications skills.  
•        Detail-oriented and knowledgeable in RDBMS disciplines and system administration disciplines.
•        Experience in enterprise scale database system (> 100GB/database, > 12GB RAM).
•        In deep understanding of SQL security and auditing.
•        In deep knowledge of SQL performance tuning using SQL script and SQL trace.
•        Hands on of MS SQL cluster setup and trouble shooting (Active/Active).
•        Good understanding on SQL monitoring.
