Vacant1: QA Engineer - Desktop solution


Responsibilities:

- Write test plans for assigned features
- Design, develop, and execute automated tests
- Perform manual and automated testing
- File bug reports
- Work with development team to replicate defects, prioritize bugs, and develop robust tests

Requirements:

- BS/MS in computer science or equivalent with 3+ yrs of relevant QA experience
- Excellent analytical, trouble shooting and problem solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision as well as work in a team
- Ability to interact with cross functional teams
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and work in a dynamic environment is essential
- In depth understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems / networking
- Broad technical knowledge including:
Operating system fundamentals (memory management, scheduling, etc)
User level applications
Basic systems administration (OS installation & configuration of Windows and Linux)
- Working experience in the software development lifecycle
- Proficiency in one or more of the following languages:
C++
C
C#
Perl
Java
- Experience developing UI automation using one or more of the following tools:
SilkTest preferred
WinRunner
Rational Robot
- Familiarity with any hardware architectures, preferably x86, would be a plus
- Experience in VMware products is a plus
