Linux BSP SW Engineer/Senior SW engineer
Department description
Focus on Linux BSP driver development on FSL MAD embedded chips and driver integration for different Linux open source platforms like Android, Ubuntu, Chrome…
Responsibilities
• Develop Linux BSP drivers on FSL MAD embedded chips – fix drivers on old chips and develop drivers on new chips
• Develop reference Linux platforms by integrating FSL BSP into different Linux open source platforms like Android, Ubuntu and Chrome etc so as to speed up customers’ production on FSL SoCs
• Review SoC specs, give feedback, estimate effort and define component requirement.
• Analyze and resolve difficult system issues.
• Profiling/optimizing system and driver performance.
• Write and review documents for developed software components.
• Active and effective support to customers.
• Additional responsibilities for senior engineers:
o Supervise junior engineers.
o Lead platform SW development on new SoC.
o Contribute to putting FSL Linux codes to Linux kernel open source community.
o Analyze and define new Linux BSP module and Linux platform requirements.
Requirements
• BS/MS Degree, EE or Computer Science
• The candidate must be proficient in C/C++ with at least 2 years of industry experience in embedded programming in a real time operating system
• Have good concept and analysis capability to Linux system
• Excellent communication skills and team working experience, understand and have interest to open source world
• Fluent English read/write/speak capability
• Experience with ARM family is desired
• Experience with GIT and ClearQuest is desired.
• Additional requirements for senior engineer:
- Minimum 3-year experience in Linux device driver development or Linux based MultiMedia development
- Familiar with Linux kernel and Linux System
- Familiar with ARM architecture
- Knowledge & experience in SW process
- Experience in project leader is a big plus
- Good understanding to software development lifecycle
- Experience in platform development or knowledge in SW system is a big plus
WinCE BSP SW Engineer/Senior SW engineer
Department description
Focus on WinCE BSP driver development on FSL MAD embedded chips and driver integration for WinCE, WM, WinAuto.
Responsibilities
• Develop WinCE BSP drivers on FSL MAD embedded chips – fix drivers on old chips and develop drivers on new chips
• Develop reference platforms by integrating FSL BSP into WinCE, WM and WinAuto so as to speed up customers’ production on FSL SoCs
• Review SoC specs, give feedback, estimate effort and define component requirement.
• Analyze and resolve difficult system issues.
• Profiling/optimizing system and driver performance.
• Write and review documents for developed software components.
• Active and effective support to customers.
• Additional responsibilities for senior engineers:

o Follow up with MSFT the development trend and contribute fix/enhancements to MSFT.
