Position Summary:
A team leader vacancy exists in the Global Processing team based in Asia-Pac, this role will manage a 3rd level technical team that provides day to day operational support across server technology such as Unix/Linux, Windows and AIX and their associated technologies including: various servers, backup devices, operating systems, monitoring & alerting integration. This role will also be part of the Global Processing team and have responsibilities across Asia Pacific and the ****global data centres based in the U.S.
To fulfil this role you require a technical background in supporting some or all of the technologies mention above and demonstrated line management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and coaching to a team of ****IS Analysts:
- Create a team atmosphere and motivate the individual.
- Provide coaching and training in a positive manner.
- Continuously develop the high performance team of associates and contractors.
- Communicate clear performance expectations.
- Maintain a culture of recognition within the team.
- Develop associate career development plans.
• Manage a 3rd level technical team
• Use your technical knowledge to assist staff in the resolution of complex / critical problems.
• Review individual performance and perform associate performance appraisals.
• Participate in relevant Global Team meetings
• Manage Communication and Escalation procedures for Infrastructure outages.
• Manage or participate in projects as required.
• Focus on ITIL and Lean Practices to improve the efficiency of the team and implement best practices.
• Work with other teams globally, regionally and locally to ensure operational excellence is achieved including Pro-active monitoring of servers.
• Primary role is to provide additional 3rd Level Support within Global Processing Support.
• Ensure overall supportability of our environment, through working relations with various teams (1st and 2nd level support teams, Application Support Teams, Security Team)
• Manage vendors and reseller escalations and engagements as they relate to support provisioning.
• Capacity Planning.

Relevant experience and skills:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
• A computing related tertiary degree.
• Strong technology background.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and proven ability solving problems and manage processes within a complex environment.
• Demonstrated team management experience.
• Strong service management skills with 4+ years experience in delivering complex, global services, in an infrastructure environment.
• 2-5 years experience in system management (preferred).
Highly considered:
•Linux experience very desirable.
•Experience with complex storage environments (SANs, Backup).
•Experience in a large, heterogeneous computing environment.
• HP-UX experience.
• Windows server experience.
