Responsibilities  
1. This is a highly challenging SQA Engineering position within a new enterprise product team in Symantec China Development Center (Beijing).
2. Works with minimal supervision on analysis tasks, and with little or no supervision on test tasks.
3. Develops and executes test plans and test cases, provide SQA support for a new product consisting of Windows/web clients and application/web servers.
4. Setup test environment, verify and document test result, report test status.
5. Validate product designs, setup and test deployment solutions in datacenter, work closely with other R&D team members to resolve all product quality issues.
6. Develop test tools and automation, conduct code reviews
7. Troubleshooting test issues, provide technique help for junior level engineers.
  
Qualifications  
The successful candidate will have minimum 6 years of applicable professional QA experience or as a specialist in applicable technologies, 3+ years of work experience in Oracle/storage administration. BS or MS in computer science or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate would have skills including:
1.  Deep Knowledge of Oracle database(10g/11g) administration and schema design, experience with managing clustered database environments and disaster recovery environments.
2.  Proven working experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, knowledge of J2EE and Apache architecture.
3.  Storage device configuration experience in SAN environments and knowledge of backup applications. Veritas Storage Foundation/VCS and Netbackup experience is preferable.
4.  Knowledge of security such as data encryption, right management and web-security testing experience such as XSS, URL mangling, proxy attacks, and SQL Injection
5.   Automated test script and execution. Perl/Shell, Java, C++ or other programming skill is required.
6.  Must have a team player attitude and the ability to work in a multi-tasking fast paced environment. Must be able to identify and learn new technologies quickly. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal in English & Mandarin) are also required.
