Designing, developing, testing and monitoring systems to accomplish this 24x7x365 is an incredible engineering challenge and opportunity.

Do you want to be part of a new team that is being built from the ground up in a revolutionary way by removing the distinction between Dev/Test roles optimizing for agility, speed of delivery and ensuring continuous focus on product quality throughout the ITLC? If so, this job is for you! We are looking for an experienced and talented Engineering Lead who's proficient in designing, developing and testing internet scale software. You will work as part of a unified Engineering team developing Customer Intelligence platform components. This includes delivery of our next-generation platform that enables simplified web instrumentation technologies, extensible event collection and data transformation into multi-dimensional formats for dynamic data exchange, advanced reporting and rich visualization of complex business scenarios. Our data collection platform is an exceedingly scalable OLTP system that will soon collect over 1 billion row's of online customer activity daily - this vast quantity of data must be transformed into information to drive continuous site improvements.

Responsibilities
- Build a solid team of engineers through sound hiring practices. These engineers will focus on all aspects of engineering from design through implementation, formal testing, to deployment.
- Mentor and grow individual engineers in coding practices, design skills, debugging, cross-group communication, and critical thinking
- Develop team charter and scope for projects, including resource allocations and workload balancing
- Build strong working relationships with teams outside immediate org and communicate regularly with dependent teams
- Drive execution of tasks on a given project from Design to Development to Test and Release
- Manage the clear translation of functional specifications into technical designs, architecture diagrams, and specification
- Manage the testing of project features including test planning, automation implementation, results reporting, and verifying deployment
- Be proactive and creative in developing engineering practices to gain the most efficiency for the team. This involves:
-- Driving effective design reviews and incorporate/provide feedback that improves product design
-- Supporting creation of unit tests and educating others on unit testing methodology
-- Driving creation of test cases and robust test automation that ensure quality in all features
- Accurately estimate work, deliver software drops/builds on time, and ship releases on schedule
- Work cross team and collaborate with Developers, Testers, Program Managers and Operations Engineers to ensure quality releases, including raising issues, exploring and communicating resolutions, and driving for results

Required Skills/Experience
- BS/BA in Computer Science, or related technical discipline required
- Fluent verbal and written language skills in both Mandarin Chinese and US English.
- 4+ years of engineering leadership experience
- 4+ years of programming/testing experience in distributed systems and Internet applications
- 5+ years of software development & testing experience
- 5+ years of experience in designing/building/testing/debugging commercial software using C/C++/C# or Java.
- 3+ years experience writing test plans, test cases and test automation using .NET Framework
- 2+ years experience using SQL server
- Working knowledge of database design, .NET Programming, Sharepoint Reporting, and IIS
- Ability and willingness to rapidly learn and work with emerging technologies in Beta
- Working knowledge of OLAP and Large Scale Data Warehousing and passion to become very proficient
- Prior experience shipping customer/business intelligence programs, including reporting and visualization, web tagging and data collection on schedule
- Proven track record in working collaboratively with other team members helping out whenever and wherever needed to deliver high quality software
- Ability to provide and accept constructive design/implementation feedback during design/code reviews
- Experience testing UI and APIs, working with different web browsers and OS's, and accounting for testing Accessibility, Usability, Security, Performance, End-to-End customer scenarios, etc.
- Knowledge and passion for customer/business intelligence initiatives, including reporting and visualization, web tagging and data collection
- The ability to unbundle issues and formulate recommendations clearly, attention to details, technical horsepower, strong technical problem solving, and critical thinking are required skills
- Working knowledge of TDD SDLC

Preferred Skills/Experience (Not Required)
- Experience with the following system capabilities:
-- Working knowledge of MOSS
-- Working knowledge of Performance Point Services
-- Working knowledge of SSIS & SSRS
-- C or C++ background is a plus
-- Data Modeling (relational/multidimensional)
-- ETL processes and technologies
-- Data Warehousing experience
-- Various test methodologies
