Infrastructure Management Analyst(Wintel)
The position could include, but not limited to, the following tasks:
Engineering new products for potential implementation
Implementing new technologies to support the Windows Server environment
Advanced troubleshooting hardware issues on HP and Dell equipment
Proven history of meeting or exceeding deadlines in uncertain environments, and delivering high quality results.
Someone capable of responding to a fast paced environment and able to work long days and hours.
Demonstrated record in leading and instilling service disciplines and team work. Ability to lead the technical team independently.
Responsible for the operational support of server infrastructure, including operating system installations, patching, upgrades to both hardware and operating system.
The incumbent will participate in a rotating weekly on-call to provide technical support to production systems.
Maintain internal staff documents for build procedures to provide uniform, compliant servers for production implementation. Develop documentation for maintenance procedures for server infrastructure.
Review operations and business requirements for infrastructure projects with the team, management and client services groups for deployment and ongoing operations support.
Requirement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as strong interpersonal skills. As a result, the qualified candidate must be able to communicate effectively to client and the higher management as well as business end-users.
Ability to appropriately identify, takes ownership, and focus on highest priority projects.
Ability to manage time effectively according to priorities and timelines.
Must be self-motivated, possess the ability to take on projects and tasks with little direction, and apply good judgment and decision-making skills
Bachelor-level degree in engineering, information technology, data communications, telecommunications, computer science, or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications.
Technical proficiency including systems experience, strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Strong operational knowledge of Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Active Directory and VMware in an enterprise environment.
Sound experience in a support organization that is responsible for large scale network and data center operations, and related production support functions.
Knowledge of emerging IT technology solutions, industry trends, and progressive operations methodology.
Preferred ability and discipline to work and succeed in a fast pace and organizationally complex environment, to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology, and to manage projects.
